Abstract

The present paper aims to offer preliminary results of an ongoing research project focusing on the study of three fragments of mummies recently rediscovered in the basement of the Museo Civico "Castello Ursino" in Catania. The project aims to retrace the post-excavation history of these fragments and provide an in-depth analysis of their features. The investigation is being conducted using an interdisciplinary approach combining scientific analysis with the study of the archival records related to their arrival to the Catanian Museo Civico.
