Abstract
Mirror Therapy is an established rehabilitation technique for motor recovery, particularly for upper limb stroke rehabilitation. This poster reviews the current evidence for conducting mirror therapy in virtual reality to improve engagement and functional outcomes.
Across the seven articles that were analysed in this review, all displayed a positive effect on motor function or functional independence, with the majority achieving statistical significance. Where a control group was included in the studies, the virtual reality mirror therapy group outperformed the control group in every instance.
