Abstract
“How do you eat an elephant…?” my daughter asked me. “One bite at a time”.
Tackling exclusion in education can sometimes feel like eating an elephant. It can
feel gigantic…imposing…never-ending. The Inclusive Education Summit helps to
remind us, however, that we’re not eating alone.
As formidable as exclusion and segregation appears, advances are being made
on different fronts. In the foreword to Michael Farrell’s “Celebrating the Special
School”,
