Reply: Gallbladder ejection fraction: Still in need of validation

We thank the editor for the opportunity to respond to the letter by John M. Bauman M.D. I would like to respond to the comments in the letter in order. I would agree with Dr. Bauman that a table of the values for the ejection fraction at 15 minutes post infusion would help clinicians wishing to evaluate the reproducibility and variability for themselves. Indeed this was our view and the original article submitted to the journal had such a table enclosed; however, it was the view of the reviewer and the Editor of Gastroenterology that the table should be deleted. We acquiesced to this request.
