Abstract

We thank Csizmadi and Freedland 1 for their interest in our article which investigated whether adherence to World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) lifestyle recommendations for cancer prevention is associated with incidence of 13 cancer types, and whether these associations differ by genetic risk.2 We agree with their suggestion that the observed association between a greater adherence to recommendations andan increased risk of prostate cancer may be, at least in part, due to detection bias.
