Abstract
This report forms the second and third parts of the review of the Health Workforce Division (HWD), Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) General practice (GP) Supply and Demand Model - November 2022. This model aims to provide a single, consistent integrated evidence-based model to assist national workforce and service planners to address policy issues such as workforce maldistribution.
The aim of this part of the review was to examine the HWD GP Supply and Demand model including datasets, input parameters and dynamics, recommend revisions and enhancements to the model. The review also analysed the model output in comparison to other contemporary Australian models and compared the model to other highly complex models identified in the literature scan (Sub-Project 1).
