    Abstract

By her fifteenth birthday Felice Hathaway discovered horse riding and the world of one-day eventing, plus a horse-riding boyfriend and mentor. This novel tells of her moving out of the boyfriend's shadow and feeling secure in her riding ability and her own friends. Her family has moved to the hills and she can now ride all she wants with her own pony, Siena. Everything has fallen into place, or has it? Already she has begun to doubt how far she can go on her present mount. It seems that, just when she feels she can achieve a goal she's set herself, she looks beyond it to the next challenge.
