    Abstract

Self-regulated learning (SRL) is now recognised as an important skill for health care
professionals to develop. Yet, not all education systems provide specific support for the development of SRL. In order to assist our students to become self-regulated learners, Programmatic Assessment for Learning (PAL) was introduced into our four-year graduate entry medical program in 2017.
