Abstract
The book presents current research findings and materials on the mysterious figure of the Amarna period: Semenchkare. It is still controversial whether Semenchkare a young Man at the side of Akhenaten was or was Queen Nefertiti, who with this fictive identity as a male pharaoh was the successor of her husband. The identification of the mummy from the grave hide KV 55 is a crucial piece of the puzzle of this Egyptological Enigma. A new find, which occupies a longer co-reign, seems to finally solve the mystery. In 2015, CN Reeves set up a new theory that Nefertiti aka Semenchkare should be found in undiscovered chambers in Tutankhamun's grave. The latest work by Reeves is included in the new edition.
