Abstract

Screening is crucial for detecting risky alcohol and other drug use. As part of the development of an online collection of commonly used AOD screening tools, a desktop review of the Severity of Dependence Scale (SDS) was conducted to ascertain appropriate populations, diagnostics, clinical utility, resources and knowledge gaps. This overview is the result of that review.
