Abstract
History will likely frame the first half of 2021 in South Australia in the context of pandemic management. The period was indeed characterised by the occasional detection of new Covid-19 cases, by border controls limiting access internationally and from affected states, by quarantine regimes imposed on many of those permitted to enter, by continuing rules about social distancing, by the gradual opening up of vaccination opportunities, and by the ever-present risk of an imminent serious lockdown.
