Abstract

A passive desktop sized electrostatic storage ring has been demonstrated to store charged particles. The storage of charged particles within the ring has been investigated as a function of the potentials applied to the electrostatic lenses. The aim of this investigation was to examine predicted operating potentials for long term storage and to explore the types of orbits produced.
