Abstract

This report was commissioned by the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service
Authorities Council (AFAC) as a component part of a project to explore the research higher education-industry nexus. In particular this report provides a stocktake of current higher education offerings and short courses which may have relevance to the fire and emergency service industry, and their alignment with the Australian Qualifications Framework. Information was gathered through direct engagement with AFAC and extensive web searches. This report is the first of it’s kind to provide a detailed overview of higher education offerings relevant to the fire and emergency services industry.
