    Abstract

This entry delves into the dynamic landscape of stress management interventions within today’s evolving organizations. It examines the potential for creating healthier, more productive workplaces through effective stress management within organizational contexts. Different categorisations of interventions (e.g., individual, team, or organizational; primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention; and integrated models) are discussed, along with essential process issues for successful stress management interventions (i.e., intervention design and participative processes). Common interventions are explored for their potential to alleviate workplace stress, including job (re)design, management of targeted psychosocial hazards, leader or supervisor-focused interventions, recovery, energy management strategies (e.g., sleep, work breaks, restorative/recovery activities), promotion of help-seeking and mental health literacy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), relaxation techniques, and mindfulness.
