    Abstract

Crystalline meloxicam nanoparticles <100 nm in diameter are accessible using a microfluidic platform without the use of organic solvents, with a subsequent layer-by-layer polyelectrolyte encapsulation being effective in suppressing growth of macrocrystals, and imparting high colloidal stability for sustained release over 6-8 h with a t1/2ca.180 min.
