Abstract
Achieving a complete surgical resection remains the cornerstone in providing the patient the best chance of cure in pancreatic cancer.1 In the past, surgical exploration was often undertaken even in patients with potentially locally advanced tumors on imaging. The aim of such an exercise was to perform a palliative surgical bypass even if a curative resection was not possible.
