Abstract

The 10th Australian Rural and Remote Mental Health Symposium was held in Hobart, Tasmania 15-17 October 2018. Over 250 mental health practitioners, consumers, carers, advocates, policy makers, managers and researchers from across rural and remote Australia met to showcase initiatives, share innovations and to network over the three days. Across the nine plenary sessions and 46 presentations, a set of strengths, themes, challenges and key messages emerged. The following communiqué summarises the most important points, as voted by the delegates to the symposium.
