Abstract
Aboriginal People see three levels of rock art, each of which has its own origin and meaning. The oldest has been created by 'mimis' or ancestral beings. The second is art produced by ancestors that can repainted by contemporary Aboriginal people. The third is new paintings by contemporary artists.
