Abstract

Sir, – The utility of real-time social media (SoMe) platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) is continuously increasing, with ~ 72% of the adult population operating at least one platform. SoMe’s ability to close geographic gaps and flex busy schedules made it a successful educational platform. Twitter is a platform for free, open-access medical education (FOAMed). A tweet is content one creates on Twitter. #Tweetorial is a thread of multiple tweets that provide information concisely and attractively. #Medthread is another medical-themed Twitter thread, often of broader medical content.
