Abstract

Background: The Australian aged care sector is pre-dominantly publicly funded through income tax contributions, and the recent Royal Commission has highlighted the need for significant investment in order to improve standards. It is therefore important to understand the general public’s attitudes towards aged care quality, and their willingness to contribute to increased funding to the sector.
