Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a concept dating back to the last century. Recent studies have started to change their view about CSR and recognise the important relationship between CSR and risk management (RM), financial performance, as well as business ethics (Murtaza et al., 2014; Unerman, 2008). Simultaneously, risk management has rapidly assumed increasing importance both as a n academic discipline, and as an operational strategy for businesses. Risk management is now an integral part in defining a corporation's objectives and it is empowered by the board of directors as well as shareholders of many business corporations.
