Abstract
"The Church preaches Christ the risen crucified One and confesses him as Lord to the glory of God the Father." This is one of my favourite sentences from the Basis of Union, the foundation document of the church I belong to. It's the description of Christ as "the risen crucified One" that has always stood out to me. It's like a very familiar phrase, but different. Different in a way that makes me stop and think.
