Abstract

1. What are the characteristics of online education programs for informal carers of people living with dementia?
2. What is the effectiveness of online education programs for informal carers of people living with dementia?
We will search six English databases including the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Web of Science, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), PsycINFO, the Cochrane Library, and Scopus and Chinese database including China National Knowledge Infrastructure,
Wang fang Data, Weipu Data and Chao xing Data. Gray literature will be searched in the following sources include Clinical Trials.Gov, Australian New Zealand Clinical Trails Registry, and international Clinical Trials Registry Platform. There is no time limit to the search. All searched records will be imported to Endnotes X9 and Covidence to remove the duplicate studies. Two reviewers will screen the title and abstract to identify the study that meets the inclusion criteria. The reference list of each selected article will be manually scanned. Consultations with librarians will be sought during the database search.
