Abstract

A 66-year-old male with end-stage kidney failure secondary to longstanding Type 2 diabetes on peritoneal dialysis (PD) presented with fever, lower abdominal pain and lethargy with no other focal infective symptoms. Vital signs were unremarkable except for a fever of 38°C. His abdomen revealed mild suprapubic tenderness. There was a small rim of erythema at the Tenckhoff catheter exit site with no sign of tunnel tract erythema or tenderness.
