Abstract
Furthermore, a high proportion of patients were identified with subclinical heart failure. These figures are a stark warning for those concerned with the economic management of health in Australia. With its rapidly ageing population, increasing incidence of obesity and ongoing improvements in survival from acute coronary episodes, Australia is likely to see a dramatic rise in chronic heart failure incidence over the next decade.
