Abstract

The development of the International Academy of Cytology (IAC) Yokohama System for Reporting Breast Fine-Needle Aspiration Biopsy Cytopathology began at the Yokohama International Cytology Congress of the IAC and was announced in a 2017 publication.1 A summary of the system was then published in 2019.2 The textbook was published in 2020, and for the first time, the key diagnostic cytopathological features of breast lesions and tumors were detailed as part of a published reporting system.
