Abstract
As a foot-note to the early La Tène stamped sherd from Kanín (Central Bohemia) the question as to the nature of the implement used is revisited. An analogy with the pintaderas of the Vekerzug culture raises possibility of the use of ceramic stamps rather than ones of bone or wood or metal evidence for which in neither case has to date been found.
