Abstract

Professional engagement occurs when teachers actively participate in a range of professional learning opportunities. The chosen professional learning opportunities should respond to self-identified learning goals and desired areas of growth. Professional engagement is characterised by the sustained and proactive demonstration of respectful, professional interactions with students, colleagues, parents/carers and members of the community.
