Abstract

On 25 and 26 October 2005, Royal Australian Navy minehunters HMA Ships 'Huon' and 'Diamantina' conducted a search for the bower anchor that Abel Tasman lost in North Bay, Tasmania, in 1642. This note gives an account of the circumstances, conduct and results of the survey-to date, the last such attempt to find the anchor.
