Abstract
More than 200 million adults undergo non-cardiac surgery annually around the world [1]. A large proportion of these surgeries are elective. Up to one third of patients scheduled for surgery may be taking aspirin [2]. Often the simple question of whether to interrupt aspirin needs to be addressed by surgeons and physicians. The meta-analysis by Wolff et al. pulls the major trials together and helps guide these discussions.
