Abstract

This paper is a part of current research project on “Life experiences of children with physical disabilities in Hanoi” aims at indentifying how they experience their life in schools with advantages and disadvantages, and how they dealt with such disadvantages. Initial findings taken from this research illustrate that they face more difficulties in terms of physical environment and accessibility rather than social attitude; and the best way they deal with such difficulties and challenges in their life in schools by the self-adaptation. The last section of this paper proposes some implications for social work services and supports to improve the social inclusion for disabled children in schools.
