Abstract

We thank the authors for their interest in our work, which determined pediatric critical value thresholds (CVT) based on the probability of admission into the high dependency unit (HDU) or intensive care unit (ICU) within 24 hours of a critical value.1 The letter raised several important issues related to critical values.
