Abstract
In this paper, an adaptive resonant controller is applied to attenuate vibrations in a cantilever beam structure with large varying parameters. This controller is particularly suited for structures that are exposed to previously unmodelled dynamics. On-line estimation of the structure's natural frequencies is used to up-date the resonant controller's parameters. Simulation results show that the proposed adaptive strategy can achieve better performances than its fixed-parameter counterpart.
