Abstract

Many people feel anxious, worried, or nervous when seeking healthcare - not just about their health, but about how they might be treated by healthcare professionals. They worry that their concerns won't be taken seriously or that they won't be listened to. This can prevent them from opening up to healthcare professionals or even seeking help in the first place.

This video outlines 4 key strategies that healthcare professionals, from any discipline and working in any healthcare setting, can use to help patients feel comfortable and at ease within the healthcare encounter.
