Wellbeing, stress and burnout: a national survey of managers in alcohol and other drug treatment services

    Abstract

    This report presents key findings
    from a national survey of managers
    of Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD)
    specialist treatment services. The
    study was undertaken by the National
    Centre for Education and Training on
    Addiction (NCETA).
    The primary aim of the study was to
    examine the indicators and predictors
    of occupational wellbeing in managers
    and supervisors of AOD treatment
    services in Australia. The key indicators
    investigated were job satisfaction,
    organisational commitment, a measure
    of burnout, and turnover intention.
